The Miss West Central Alabama Pageant began in 2003 as an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama and Miss America Scholarship Organizations.  We are an organization that provides participating young ladies with the opportunity to enhance their educational goals with the assistance of monetary grants and awards through our program.

Scholarships available at the local, state and national competitions in 2007 exceeded $45 million in cash and in-kind awards..  As a primary component of the overall organization, this scholarship program enables recipients to apply these grants toward furthering their education, which will greatly enhance the probability that they will positively effect the lives of others who they come in contact with throughout their lives.

A second area of our program, but one just as rewarding, is the Community Service programs.  Our organization provides a venue for these young ladies promote their individual community service programs along with the national Children's Miracle Network Organization.  Men, women, and children across our state benefit from the thousands of hours these young ladies donate to the causes that are most dear to them.
